欢迎来到《苏乞儿导演日志》。大家好！我是袁和平，人们都称呼我为「八爷」。早于今年5月份，剧组人员提议为我开通一个博客，让我可以跟网上的武术粉丝们交流一下，博客的计划及后又因紧密的电影筹备及拍摄工作而告吹了。但我依然非常希望能拥有一个与观众交流的平台，这念头展转变成现在跟你们见面的《导演日志》。

一部电影的成功与否关乎整个制作团队的合作，尤其对于电影《苏乞儿》如此庞大的制作而言，每个岗位的工作人员都是不可或缺的。作为本片的导演，我感到非常荣幸之余，亦希望籍《导演日志》为你们介绍整个制作团队及他们的工作。电影《苏乞儿》不仅幕前星光熠熠，连幕后人马的名字亦响当当，往后我会为大家逐一介绍。此外我会于日志内多介绍武术组的工作情况，这不仅是由于我擅长于武术及动作指导方面，更重要的是希望让观众了解到，银幕前演员飞檐走壁、于竹树上舞动比剑的优美动作背后，是武术组兄弟们的血与汗，他们宁愿自己受伤也要保护演员，默默付出，却往往受人忽略。当然我不会因此而忘记介绍你们最爱的明星偶像，他们的精湛演出造就了一个又一个武侠世界里的经典人物。

总的来说，我敢保证，假如你是个标准武侠电影迷，《苏乞儿导演日志》定必能让你看的过瘾。但假如你向来对武术电影不感兴趣、或是亳不认识，你会从这里开始爱上中国武术电影！

Welcome to the True Legend director's diary. Hello everybody! I am Yuen Woo Ping. People usually call me "Ba Ye" (which means "Master Eight" in Mandarin). As early as May of this year, one of the crewmembers suggested me to create a Blog where I could get in touch with thousands of martial arts fans on-line. This plan has been abandoned, later, when I noticed how intense the film preparation and shooting schedule would be. However, I still hope to have a platform communicating with the audience, it finally turns out to be the Director's diary which I am now presenting to you right here!

The success of a film depends much on team efforts, especially for a large-scale and big-budget film like True Legend. Every film crewmember is indispensable. As the director of this film, I feel privileged and would hope to take this opportunity to introduce our great production team and their works to you all. While the film is fronted by many superstars, you must not miss out those big names behind the screen. I will surely introduce them to you one by one. Besides I would try to talk more about the Stunt crew and their work in my diary, not only because of my potency in martial arts choreography, but also my wish to let the audience understand more about this. You may be amazed by how actors leap onto the roofs and vault over the walls on screen, or the stunning sword-fighting scenes on the bamboo trees. But you may probably not know how much blood and sweat our stunt crewmembers have sacrificed for that. They try their best to protect actors and actresses while anonymously making the most stunning scenes on screen, though they remain "invisible". Furthermore, I would not forget to showcase your beloved film stars and idols. Their brilliantly acting makes the Wuxia ("Chinese Martial art" in Mandarin) classic characters come to live!

After all, if you are already a big fan of Wuxia films, I promise you would be hooked to the True Legend director's diary. However, if you have never been interested in Wuxia films or know nothing about it, nevermind, you will start loving Chinese martial art films from here!
